Thank you to those who were able to support our sports day on Wednesday. We had a lovely day.
As previously mentioned, we are not having any more trips this year as we have been on so many. Instead we are having some themed days as decided by the children:-
Thursday 14th July – Pirate Day. Children can come dressed up if they would like to.
Monday 18th July – Seaside Day. Lots of water play so dry clothes might be good! Buckets and spades welcome too. (Don’t tell the children but we have arranged for an ice cream van to come to school in the afternoon – our treat. Let me know if you are not happy for your child to have an ice-cream)
Thursday 21st July – Leavers assembly in the morning, class party in the afternoon.
Friday 22nd July – Bring a toy day and disco. Please nothing electronic or with batteries, and also nothing too precious. Disco for whole school in the afternoon
We are also hoping to have an Indian Day with dancing, music and henna (with face paint) – Please let me know if you are not happy for your child to have henna
We have collected in all the library books, reading books will be taken in on Friday 15th July. We will be sending home some workbooks over the next couple of weeks, but the most recent books are being kept in school for new teachers to look through ready for September, or sent up to Round Oak.
