This half term, White Group have had a ‘minibeast’ theme! We have experienced lots of different art and craft work; games, songs and videos about minibeasts and one of our favourite things to do was dress up like minibeasts and wear funny glasses and hats that make us look like bugs!
A couple of weeks ago, we went on a class trip with Blue Group. We explored the grounds of Charlecote Gardens, spotting different animals and features on our ‘I Spy...’ sheets, had a look around the main house and counted squirrel teddies in every room! We had a look around the kitchens and saw someone making dough for scones, next to the really hot fire! We looked at all of the beautiful flowers and some of us even felt and held a real deer’s antler! We then had a picnic before setting off to Hampton Lucy park, where we explored lots of different climbing and park equipment. Finally, we ended our day with a trip to Stratford Garden centre where we went on another hunt for items to cross off our list and looked at all the things we needed to use to plant flowers! We had such a brilliant day and we were all so well behaved!
In Forest School, we have had a ‘Pirate’ theme; we have been dressing up like pirates and finding hidden treasure to post into the treasure chest! We have looked at treasure maps and now know what ‘X marks the spot’ means!
Have a lovely half term!
