Story Massage Workshop

We are delighted to invite parents/carers to join us for a 'Story Massage' workshop on Thursday 15th June at 1:15 - 3pm here at Ridgeway School.

What is Story Massage?

Story massage introduces a fun and interactive way of encouraging the benefits of nurturing touch through storytelling and simple massage strokes. This is a lovely activity to do with your child and is a fun way for families to share time together. This can be enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities and can be tailored to suit the needs of the child. The benefits of story massage include:

  • increasing self confidence, self-esteem and self awareness
  • an opportunity for children to experience dedicated 'calming time'
  • promotes relaxation
  • can be tailored to meet the individual needs of a child

Please keep an eye out for a letter about the workshop in your child's book bag. Refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Katie Bolton, Learning Mentor at Ridgeway School or alternatively if you’d like to find more out about Story Massage please visit the website
