Orange Group really enjoyed French Day today. We learnt what colours are called in French and sang the colours of the rainbow ... in French!!!
At snack time we all tried croissants with butter and jam and had a hot chocolate to drink, although some of the children didn't think they would like it, it was a huge success. One child commented " I will ask mummy if I can have hot chocolate instead of milk for my bedtime drink".
During the numeracy session we ordered our numbers and learnt the French names for them and sang a song which you could look at (www.bbc.co.uk/schools/primarylanguage/french/numbers).
We also made some French bunting and coloured some French flags. We have made a lovely display of our day outside the classroom, have a look when you next come to visit.
