Our Remembrance celebrations this year have focussed around the Warwick Poppy Appeal. St Mary's Church has launched an appeal to the community to make poppies to decorate the Church next year to mark the Centenary of the end of World War I.
In true Ridgeway style we have gone to town, including a staff event making poppies, an assembly with the Mayor and a member of the British Legion and poppy making in class.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved both in school and at home. Our poppies will be delivered to the Church now in preparation. If you wish to continue making poppies at home for the appeal, please feel free to do so. Details can be found at www.warwickpoppies.org.uk
